 Dragon Force show review
« Thread Started on Sept 15, 2006, 10:40am »

The stage had been set. Various roadie warriors had finished their sound checks. The dust from the opener bands had long settled making the on passing time ever tense with anticipation. As patience slipped away the gathering of followers grew edgy, reacting to every would be sign of an emergence with a roar that would end as quickly as it began in another disappointment.
Suddenly the stage was struck black and only the digits 3:02 pierced the darkness. As the countdown began, ever intensifying metal music covered the hum of a thousand curious voices. The minutes passed over a dark empty stage as the music became more and more erratic until only ten seconds remained. The people's voices became one as the countdown was chanted.
When it was all over the stage had been consumed by a fog. Our Warriors appeared one by one and everyone soon realized that our meager wait had been entirely worth ever second.
It cannot be described with mere words what took place that night. No description could serve justice to those who came and rocked unyieldingly. Instead I shall only attempt to translate details I witnessed with my mortal eyes. A drum set that only could have been created by Dr. Frankenstein himself had been assembled to create a monster of percussion. A tower of keyboards capable of producing a range of synthetic sounds so great it would have blown the minds of every classical composer who may have laid ears upon it.
Guitars NEA! Battle Axes! that continually became more elaborate in design as the night went on all excreting blissful insanity as their masters tamed them with exceedingly wild fingers.
A vocalist who not only brought alive tales of adventures both fantastic and legendary, but could stare into your soul and with a point of his finger, make your fists shoot into the air. Mid show he paused to part the sea of rabid fans and then set them loose into what can only be described as a typhoon of moshing wonder. The magnificent flowing rock hair proved without a doubt that we were all witnessing pure magic. The literally hundreds of solos left no face in the room unmelted.
There were trampolines YES! trampolines that sent these gods of rock soaring into jump kicks and dizzying spins. Their was even an intermission where the lord of the keyboards flexed his dexterous digit dancing skills, producing sounds previously thought to only be possible by ancient video game artists.
By the end of the night there was no question in anyones mind that we had all just been made witness to a band which undoubtedly wields the musical force to match, if not surpass, that of a dragon. They Are truly a Dragon Force :D ;D :o

It sold out pretty fast. Next time around they'll probably have to be in Key Arena or something.
